JA Fellows Online Recommendation Form


An applicant being considered for the JA Fellows has selected you as a reference & wishes your response to be considered as part of his/her application. The application will not be regarded as complete until your recommendation is received. Information pertaining to the applicant's interpersonal skills, community involvement, personal motivation and academic information are all helpful. Completed applications are reviewed continually until the deadline, and your efforts to submit this form at your earliest convenience are greatly appreciated.

The recommendation consists of 3 sections: contact information (you will need the applicant's e-mail address, as well as the name of their school!), a brief section where you rate the applicant's strengths relative to his or her peer group, and a section for written comments. This last section is often the most informative and telling. You may choose to cut and paste a previously prepared letter of recommendation into this section. Due to the volume of applicants, we kindly request that you utilize this online form as opposed to mailing, faxing, or e-mailing a recommendation.


Note: High School Students and Relatives/Family Members cannot serve as Recommenders for prospective JA Fellows.

If you click "Submit" and nothing happens, please review the application for any red text. This will indicate fields which need to be corrected before you can submit the recommendation.

If you successfully complete this process, you will receive an automatic e-mail confirmation of your submission, sent to the e-mail address provided in the application. The student will also be notified via e-mail that a recommendation has been submitted on their behalf; they will not see your ratings and comments.
